Job Title: Supplier Engineer
Job Summary:
The Supplier Engineer plays a vital role in supporting suppliers across organization functions to resolve technical, quality, and production challenges.
This position offers opportunities to work independently in a close-knit team setting, drive improvement of supplier quality and manufacturing processes, and collaborate with product management and supplier business managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate key quality defects of components from customers and/or field service teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Drive improvement of suppliers' quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
* Audit and document supply base performance on critical processes and overall quality management systems.
* Collaborate on the continuous development of the supply base through teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers.
* Lead high-profile project timelines and milestones and provide technical support in Build, Test, and FQA to suppliers.
Requirements:
* University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in mechatronics, automation, robotics, computers, controllers, PCBA, sensors, detectors, fluid dynamics, heaters, pumps, filters, flow, and pressure control.
* Creative thinking, strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
* Solid understanding of statistical process control, basic statistical analysis used in production settings, equipment, and component manufacturing processes.
* Experience in supplier process development and quality management.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of semiconductor equipment, capital equipment industry, and manufacturing processes.
* Effective communication and presentation skills in English.
* Statistical analysis skills including statistical process control and data analysis used in production settings.
* Knowledge in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills.
