Who you are:
You are passionate about retail and eager to start your career with a global leader in home furnishings. You have a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or working experience in a related field, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. You possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward. You have strong communication skills (both German and English), and ideally, you have experience leading and developing teams in a retail environment. You are interested in home furnishing and identify with our IKEA values.
Your responsibilities:
1. Collaborating on the store Business Plan, using market data to enhance the customer experience.
2. Driving financial planning, aligning with store priorities, and setting goals with stakeholder commitment.
3. Identifying and acting on commercial opportunities with the team.
4. Understanding and managing the store's Profit & Loss, reducing costs, and creating forecasts.
5. Analyzing investments for ROI, considering all project aspects.
6. Leading and developing teams, identifying talent, and ensuring succession planning.
7. Maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment by implementing relevant guidelines.
About this work area:
IKEA offers a unique 18-month trainee program designed to prepare you for the role of Business Navigation & Operations Manager (BNOM). During this period, you will work in each of our Viennese units (IKEA Vienna North, IKEA Westbahnhof, IKEA Vösendorf) for six months. This rotational program provides comprehensive exposure to our business operations, financial planning, and strategic decision-making processes. You will receive training and mentoring from experienced managers, ensuring you gain the skills and knowledge needed for the role.
