Business Development Manager - Material Handling
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven BD Manager to join our team and oversee the sales of material-handling equipment in Australia. The BD Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, expanding market share, and fostering strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably in the material handling equipment industry, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
We need a strategic, highly competitive, down-to-earth person focused on deeds, not words. We want a street-smart sales person who can execute an ambitious sales strategy. We are looking for someone with strong business acumen but is also happy to get their hands dirty.
What you'll do:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold calling to expand the customer base.
* Meet monthly revenue and gross profit targets to ultimately achieve the new business budget for the financial period.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet their requirements.
* Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of material handling equipment to potential customers.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and technical support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
* Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote products and services and enhance brand visibility.
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience in sales within the material handling industry.
* Ability to handle conflicting priorities and work professionally under pressure in competitive situations.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
* Self-motivated.
* Great time management skills and willingness to travel.
