Job Description
Laird Performance Materials - DuPont Interconnect Solutions (ICS) is focused on becoming a preferred partner for customers seeking materials-based solutions to enable market leading technologies for the customer applications.
The Project Management Leader must possess a hybrid of technical and soft skills. They must understand and utilize the project management methodologies: Agile, etc. and apply those tools as appropriate to the project at hand. Leveraging Project management best practices this role co-leads and manages strategic projects across lines of business and product portfolios, partnering with the different teams in our business (Business Development, Technical, Commercial, Value Chain Partners, stakeholders, etc., as well as our OEM, and Tier customers) to drive market back product innovation projects to completion. The ideal candidate must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and will require cross-divisional/cross-departmental collaboration, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
He/she will work closely with the global and regional business/technical teams and requires the ability to lead/facilitate decision making through stakeholder alignment as well as evaluation and driving growth opportunities through our pipeline providing key inputs to the innovative project development and market launch initiatives.
The role is regional in scope; however requires a global mindset and involves both domestic and international travel to Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Responsible for leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
2. Provide Project Management oversight for all phases of projects from Seeding to Commercialization with focus on Customer First, Flawless Project Execution and Judicious Budget Control.
3. Determine and define Project scope, goals, deliverables and tasks to ensure team is meeting customer project timelines.
4. Allocate and manage resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the project with attention to budgetary limitations.
5. Plan, create, and maintain all critical path scheduling to ensure deadlines and project deliverables are met.
6. Collaborate with engineers, business development, and key team members to ensure that project specifications are met.
7. Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress of projects and prepare detailed progress reports regularly.
8. Lead Feasibility Commitments, Milestone Plans, Capacity checks, while supporting automotive audits.
9. Lead Project Reflections, Escalations, and Gaps to be improved, and continually improve and enhance towards future projects.
10. Interface between automotive customers and DuPont ICS organization, while internally communicating and aligning Horizontally and Vertically.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or Related field plus experience working in technically-oriented businesses.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with at least 3 years at a OEM, Tier 1 / Converter / Fabricator.
3. Experience in Automotive.
4. Proven experience of successfully completing ground-up commercial projects ranging from $1MM – $MM+.
5. Customer orientation and ability to adapt/communicate to different types of cultures, regions, professional levels.
6. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
7. Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal, as well as negotiation skills.
8. Ability to work on cross BU environments (One DuPont ICS Mindset).
9. Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward challenging situations and having structured working ethic.
10. Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, with a heavy emphasis in Excel.
11. Experienced in launching IATF and TISAX certifications within organization, as well as PPAP, FMEA and APQP.
12. Intellectual curiosity coupled with a strong drive towards execution.
13. Self-starter and comfortable working with ambiguity.
14. Ability to work with and gain alignment across a wide range of functions, departments and cultures in many levels of the organization.

REQUIRED
1. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
2. Highly Qualified Candidates in the Europe with close proximity to international airport will be considered.
3. Experience in Automotive and Electrification.
4. PMP Certification.
DESIRED
1. MBA degree or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience in Process Optimization and creation of Cap-ex.
3. Experience working with international teams and customers a plus.
4. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
5. Early stage innovation experience.
