About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager & Office Operations Lead to oversee human resources and office management in our Austria office. This role involves strategic HR leadership, operational execution, and office administration. As a key member of the team, you will ensure our HR practices align with local and global standards, support business objectives, and create a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Business Partner
* Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital.
* Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics and insights.
* Bridge management and employee relations by addressing concerns and demands, fostering a collaborative environment.
* Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, offering strategic guidance on workforce strategies, conflict resolution, and policy implementation.
* Ensure HR practices comply with employment laws and regulations, proactively managing operational and regulatory risks.
* Collaborate with global and regional HR functions, including Business Partners, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development, to ensure seamless service delivery.
HR Operations
* Manage end-to-end HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, employee development, payroll, visas (working and business), tax, pension, and offboarding.
* Oversee employee relations, HR compliance, and HR audits to promote ethical and compliant practices.
* Implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and minimize risk exposure.
* Ensure HR shared services operations align with local, regional, and global regulations and standards.
* Safeguard HR data privacy and security, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Office Management & Administration
* Oversee office operations, including pantry supplies, water supply, and tea lady management.
* Organize office events and wellness programs to foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
* Lead office renovation projects and ensure a safe, well-maintained workspace.
* Manage office facilities, vendor relationships, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in HR management, including HRBP and operations roles.
* Strong knowledge of Austrian labor laws and HR compliance practices.
* Proven experience in managing office operations and administrative functions.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
* Fluency in English;
* Advantageous for candidates with working in a start-up environment / trained in setting up office operations from scratch.
* Responsible and meticulous individual that has strong accountability and follow-up skills.
