Who you are
You are a Senior IKEA Shopkeeper, preferably with sales experiences in Showroom and Markethall or have management experience with other retailers
You have a proven track record of delivering results through people
You are a structured person with great analytical skills on an operational and strategical level.
You have the ability to develop knowledge of the local market and business conditions quickly and take commercial decisions based on this information.
You have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and German or have the willingness to improve your language skills quickly

Your responsibilities
In the role as Core Area Manager, you are responsible for leading one of three Core Areas in the Store together with your team of Shopkeepers/Teamleaders.
Optimizing sales and profitability by encouraging your team to take fast action on commercial opportunities and act on customer feedback, competition, supply and performance analyses.
Knowing the local market potential and working with your team and other store functions to plan and implement commercial activities that increase sales.
Working through the team, and with the support of other functions, to present the width and depth of the IKEA range in order to satisfy and inspire visitors.
As a Core Area Manager you are also responsible for recruiting, developing and inspiring your team.
As a leader you create a climate where trust is given, responsibilities are given and taken, mistakes are allowed and striving for performance is motivating for the whole team.

The minimum salary for this position is 4, gross per month (all-in contract) based on full-time employment (38.5 hours per week). You will have flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely, i.e. from a location other than an IKEA office.
Working hours: Flexible from Monday to Saturday, 5 days a week - every second Saturday.
