Senior Digital Content & Community Manager

Yarn Marketplace, Australia’s largest First Nations supporting business, is looking for a Senior Digital Content & Community Manager to join our expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to lead content initiatives, connect with artists and creators, and bring our brand to life across digital platforms and events.

What Does This Role Look Like?
As a Senior Digital Content & Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing our digital content strategy, sourcing new artwork and artist collaborations, and spearheading brand initiatives, including event production and photoshoots. We’re seeking a dynamic individual who can handle both the creative and strategic sides of content, with proven experience in the eCommerce world. You’ll be the bridge between our brand and the community, ensuring Yarn continues to grow as a platform that supports and celebrates First Nations culture.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy across social media, email marketing, and website content.
2. Produce engaging, culturally sensitive content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
3. Manage content calendars and provide insights through regular reporting on social media and campaign performance.
4. Collaborate with our design team to create visually compelling assets for digital channels.
5. Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, maintaining a unified and authentic brand voice.
Community Engagement & Artist Relations
1. Build and nurture relationships with First Nations artists and creators.
2. Act as a key contact for artist partnerships, ensuring they feel supported and connected to our platform.
3. Identify new artist collaboration opportunities and bring fresh ideas to the table.
4. Source new artwork and collections to expand Yarn’s product offering.
5. Support artists with promotional materials and best practices for digital engagement.
Event & Photoshoot Production
1. Plan and manage brand events, from pop-ups to exhibitions, ensuring Yarn’s presence at key cultural and industry events.
2. Coordinate and oversee photoshoots, from model selection to styling and creative direction.
3. Manage event budgets, logistics, and vendor relationships to deliver seamless experiences.
eCommerce & Digital Growth
1. Bring your proven eCommerce experience to optimize content for conversions and drive online sales.
2. Collaborate with our marketing team to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
3. Use analytics and reporting tools to track content performance and optimize strategies based on data.
4. Stay up to date with digital trends and innovations, ensuring Yarn remains a leader in online engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
1. 5+ years of experience in a senior content or digital marketing role, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
2. Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating high-impact content strategies.
3. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Experience sourcing and managing creative assets, including working directly with artists.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling stories.
6. Experience coordinating photoshoots, events, or community activations.
7. Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools to track performance and inform strategy.
8. A natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
