The Department is responsible for development and improvement of controls: room controls, unit controls, App and cloud controls. Part of our work involves: Embedded software development Cloud and App development Throughout the development steps we combine “in house” development and strategic cooperation with external partners to enhance our products, keeping them amongst the best in the industry. All Daikin departments have a close collaboration to ensure high quality products for the Daikin EMEA market. Your Role: Stock and equipment management: As an Electrical Systems Support Engineer, you will do consultation with the maintenance team, reevaluate the stock and its management, ranging from defining a standard component portfolio (screws, connectors, tooling, etc.) to implementing stock management system. In addition, you will also evaluate the available tooling and, where necessary, make proposals for purchasing additional tooling where necessary. Simbox lifecycle management: You will, in consultation with the maintenance team, define a process and system to track the lifecycle of the various simboxes, so that it is clear at all times where which type of simbox is located. You are also responsible for the decommissioning of the SIM boxes (--> recovering expensive components from SIM boxes, using sheltered workshops, for example). Safety enforcer: Ensure that all safety guidelines regarding the use of electrical equipment under development are followed and, if necessary, take the correct actions to reduce multiple repeat infringements. Simbox assembly: If more and more simboxes have to be built in-house, you will the accountability to take ownership of those Simboxes. Your Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with relevant electrical training and certifications (BA5). Technical Skills : Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Knowledge of electrical components, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and wiring. Understanding of electrical codes and regulations. Competence in using hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, and assembling electrical components. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment for troubleshooting and quality assurance. Experience : Prior experience in cabinet assembly, wiring, and integration is highly beneficial. Experience working with electrical control systems and automation equipment. Knowledge of industry-standard practices for cabinet design, layout, and wiring. Attention to Detail : Building and integrating electrical cabinets require meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications and safety standards. Problem-Solving Skills : The ability to troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions is essential in this role. Communication Skills : Effective communication is crucial for collaborating with team members, understanding project requirements, and providing updates on progress. Safety Awareness : A strong commitment to workplace safety is paramount when working with electricity and electrical components. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures is vital to prevent accidents and injuries.
