Your Next Role:
As the Pre-Contracts Manager, you will join their growing team within the Construction Environmental Services sector. This is a key leadership role that will oversee and manage the pre-contract phase of projects, ensuring the timely and efficient preparation of all technical, commercial, and environmental aspects of contracts before work commences. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of construction and environmental regulations, alongside proven skills in contract management, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the pre-contract process for construction projects, ensuring that all phases from tender development to contract award are managed efficiently.
* Collaborate closely with project teams, including commercial, environmental, technical, and legal departments, to ensure all project details, risks, and opportunities are identified and addressed.
* Manage the preparation and submission of comprehensive tender documents, including contracts, specifications, and environmental assessments.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain detailed project requirements and ensure accurate tendering.
* Oversee the evaluation of tender submissions and ensure all environmental and compliance requirements are integrated into the evaluation process.
* Develop, monitor, and manage pre-contract project timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment across all project requirements.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
* At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on the pre-contract phase.
* Proven experience managing complex construction projects and pre-contract activities.
* Strong expertise in contract preparation and evaluation, with a clear understanding of contract law and construction terms.
* Ability to evaluate tender submissions with a focus on environmental impact, cost-effectiveness, and project feasibility.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
