Your role and responsibilities:
For the Business Area Motion, we are looking for a committed and experienced person to join the sales management in Austria. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy to further strengthen ABB's market position and achieve our growth targets. You will act as a driving force for the success of our company by leading the team and ensuring that sales targets are met in terms of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
The working model is on site in Wiener Neudorf.
Your main tasks:
* Market analysis and business development: Analysis of customer needs as well as observation of competitive activities in order to adjust the sales strategy and secure the market position. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities with existing and potential customers in collaboration with the team to develop customized sales plans.
* Technical consulting and quotation management: Support of the team and customers in the selection of cost-efficient and optimal solutions. Development of competitive offers and close cooperation in the coordination and negotiation of contracts, framework agreements as well as determination of product and system prices in close coordination with our manufacturing plants.
* Performance management and customer satisfaction: Proactively identify performance deficits and implement targeted measures to improve sales performance. Conducting customer surveys to collect feedback and derive measures to continuously increase customer satisfaction.
* Coordination and collaboration: Planning and implementing marketing activities such as product launches, communicating the values and benefits of the products to customers and sales teams. Representation of the company at trade fairs and events as well as close cooperation with departments such as product management, service, order processing, and marketing, as well as careful documentation and reporting in Salesforce and other internal tools to ensure transparency and traceability.
Qualifications For The Role:
* Completed higher technical education (HTL) or studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, or related fields.
* At least 5-7 years of experience in sales management of products and system solutions, preferably in drive technology (e.g., electric motors, frequency converters, digital services, controls).
* In-depth market and specialist knowledge in the drive technology industry.
* High willingness to travel both nationally and slightly internationally.
* Very good knowledge of German and English, both in C-Level, written and spoken.
* Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and SAP.
* Cooperative working style with a solution-oriented mindset.
* Negotiation skills and excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Cost-conscious thinking as well as independence and team orientation.
* Experience in leading employees and teams.
