Traffic Management Designer or TMD in Training

Position Overview:
Superior Traffic Management is seeking a Traffic Management Designer or TMD in Training to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to traffic management planning, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Your experience in managing submissions and permit applications will support effective communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that plans are precise and fit-for-purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) in accordance with current legislation, policies, and procedures.
2. Review and verify Traffic Guidance Schemes prepared by others for quality and compliance.
3. Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and provide appropriate documentation.
4. Ensure all plans are accurate and delivered within specified time frames.
5. Oversee and manage permit applications and associated requirements.
6. Communicate and implement plans efficiently to operational teams.
Key Requirements:
1. Accreditation as a Traffic Management Designer (TMD) is preferred but not essential.
2. Current QLD licences - TC, TMI & Drivers Licence, White Card.
3. Experience in using RapidPlan (Invarion) or equivalent software.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of AS 1742.3, AGTTM, and relevant Codes of Practice.
5. Understanding of safety management systems, procedures, and associated practices.
6. Proven ability to provide recommendations for minimising risks and hazards.
7. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on customer service.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and provide effective solutions.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
