Our client is a long-standing, trusted supplier of a comprehensive and expanding range of timber products into Victoria's merchant and manufacturing markets. With a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service, the business is entering an exciting growth phase and needs a dynamic Operations Manager to achieve its ambitious goals.
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, implementing systems, maintaining the highest safety standards, and delivering superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and streamline daily operational activities
2. Lead and manage the logistics function
3. Maintain and enhance safety compliance and operational efficiencies
4. Foster a culture of leadership, development, and collaboration
5. Lead, manage, and support the customer service team.
Your Profile:
1. Proven success in operational management
2. Experience in the VIC timber wholesale market (a must!)
3. Results orientation and outcome focus
4. Customer-focused mindset and a passion for service excellence
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Commitment to workplace safety
8. A hands-on management style.
