About the Role
The Senior Change and Communications Manager will lead the design, development, and delivery of change and communication strategies to support transformative initiatives across the University. With significant autonomy, you will manage end-to-end change delivery, provide leadership to the change practice, and oversee a team of Change Leads, Managers, and Analysts. The role also contributes to governance, practice improvement, and pipeline management to enhance the University's change and communication capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies and plans aligned with the University’s goals, ensuring effective implementation, stakeholder engagement, and communication throughout the process.
* Lead and support direct reports, including Change Leads, Managers, and Analysts, while building strong relationships with stakeholders, addressing concerns, and driving buy-in for change initiatives.
* Track, analyse, and report on change initiatives' progress and impact using metrics and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.
* Oversee service delivery requests, governance, and pipeline management, contributing to practice improvements, resource allocation, and adherence to University frameworks and processes.
Who we are looking for
You will have extensive expertise in stakeholder and change management, governance, strategy, and business readiness, combined with significant experience providing strategic advice and senior executive support within a large, complex organisation. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders, and deliver results in a fast-paced, agile environment will ensure your success in this role.
You will also have:
* A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training, and at least five years of experience in change management.
* A strong understanding of contemporary change management methodologies and tools.
* Proven capability and experience in managing people, particularly in a change management context, including resourcing across a portfolio.
* Demonstrated expertise in developing communication strategies using diverse channels, media, and delivery styles to effectively engage internal audiences.

This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
