The Food Safety & Audit Manager, reporting to Food and Beverage Assurance Manager, offers a unique opportunity to oversee and maintain the highest possible quality assurance and food safety for our Guests at The Star Brisbane. You will be responsible for directly influencing the food and beverage leadership teams to ensure safe and high-quality food products and standards are met.

A few of your responsibilities
* Adhere to The Star Brisbane’s food safety plans to ensure the food and beverage offering is handled, stored, and prepared according to Australian Food Safety standards.
* Record keeping and maintaining accurate records, reports, and updating systems for HACCP requirements.
* Arrange appropriate training for all F&B staff and maintain records for compliance with local, state, and all other government requirements.
* When required, conduct investigations relating to food incidents and conduct external testing as well as strategize corrective actions as per food authority guidelines.
What we are looking for
* Experience in a food production environment.
* Essential to have food industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience with high-level compliance and auditing processes.
* Holds a HACCP certificate and Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
About you
You will have significant experience in high-level food auditing and compliance from either an FMCG or within the food industry. Qualification in Certificate IV in training and assessment is essential for this role. You will champion collaboration across departments using your effective communication and consultation abilities. You will be a subject matter expert when it comes to understanding the laws as they relate to food safety and foster this in your ways of working on a day-to-day basis.
