Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a robust business development strategy focused on securing Industry and Commonwealth healthcare contracts.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, program managers, and contracting officials to establish the company as a trusted transformation partner.
3. Industry Networking: Cultivate connections with key influencers and decision-makers within the healthcare industry.
4. Representation: Represent the organisation at key industry events, forums, and conferences related to healthcare.
5. Market Insight: Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and acquisition strategies to deliver innovative solutions for Industry and Commonwealth health contracting opportunities.
6. Pipeline: Collaborate with team members to expand the pipeline of healthcare opportunities, ensuring alignment with organisational growth objectives and priorities.
7. Proposal Submission: Work closely with the proposal team to support the development and submission of proposals for government tenders, ensuring all requirements are met and that submissions are competitive and aligned with Industry and Government priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience:
1. At least 10 years of business development experience in federal markets, with a particular focus on healthcare, defence, or foreign affairs sectors.
2. Demonstrated success in securing contracts within single-award or task-order environments.
3. Comprehensive understanding of procurement processes, acquisition strategies, and contract vehicles within federal healthcare, defence, or foreign affairs.
Skills:
1. Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to excel in a high-paced, growth-focused environment.
2. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities.
3. Strong knowledge of Commonwealth healthcare standards, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, or a related field.
2. Advanced degree is highly desirable.
