As a State Sales Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the continued growth and success of our salon community, representing our portfolio of brands, including Oribe Hair Care, R+Co, R+Color, Maria Nila, and more. You will manage the Account Managers and Education team within your state and be responsible for their personal development, attainment of targets and KPIs. One of your primary responsibilities will be to build and cultivate strong relationships with our key salon partners, developing business growth through education, building brand loyalty, and enhancing brand recognition within a designated geographic territory. You'll help open doors to new salons and increase sales through comprehensive product education, merchandising, and implementing our business growth tools.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Education for your specific state, you'll have set targets for achieving growth in existing salons and also acquiring new business. Your performance and bonus will be determined by the achievement of these state goals. This role entails some regional and weekend travel, and interstate travel for quarterly Sales and Education meetings.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve the company's goals and objectives within the state
* Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance management
* Create proposals for key accounts - to acquire new business and retain existing
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other key partners
* Monitor and analyse market trends and adjust strategies as needed to stay relevant
* Develop and manage budgets for the state operations
* Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that the company is operating efficiently and effectively
Qualifications:
* A strong background in the hair care industry, with a thorough knowledge of professional salon products
* Previous experience as a hairstylist is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with salon professionals and key stakeholders.
* Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs, workshops, and presentations.
* Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Flexibility to travel frequently to salon locations within Australia
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications
