K&S Contract Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of K&S Corporation and consists of three independent operating divisions – K&S Contract Distribution Division, Warehousing Division and On Demand.
About the role:
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the focus of the Transport Operations Supervisor will be overseeing and coordinating the safe and efficient planning of truck movements within the Perth metro area.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the compliant, timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while prioritising safety, optimising resources and adhering to contractual obligations.
Your exceptional collaboration skills will enable you to work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operational execution. Additionally, you’ll uphold the highest safety standards to maximise operational efficiency and drive overall success.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Developing comprehensive plans for the allocation and scheduling of fleet.
* Proactively assessing and mitigating risks associated with fleet planning.
* Liaising with internal & customer stakeholders, including warehouse teams, logistics personnel, and customer service representatives.
* Establishing effective communication channels with external partners, such as carriers, dispatchers, and customers.
* Driving a culture of continuous improvement.
* Implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking systems to assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety performance of the fleet planning activities.
* Regularly analysing data and generating reports to evaluate performance, identify safety-related trends, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance safety standards and operational excellence.
Your Skills & Knowledge
* Previous experience in a similar role, in transportation and/or contract distribution, with expertise in fleet planning and scheduling.
* Strong knowledge of Perth’s metro network, traffic patterns, and safety regulations.
* Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
* Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the business.
* Proficiency in utilising fleet planning software and systems, as well as familiarity with relevant technology tools for data analysis and reporting.
* In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance, including load restraint, driver fatigue management, road safety regulations and WAHVA systems.
