Our Zumtobel Product Management Team SBS: experts working together to push limits, excite the market and amaze our customers
Our "Product Management Team SBS” (PM SBS) primary objective is to provide our customers with greatest level of SBS – connectivity (sensors wired and wireless), IoT-solutions (including inherent software, firmware, hardware, services up to LaaS, SLS, SaaS, KEYTURE, Emergency Lighting, ...) and orchestrate our Ecosystem partnership with
Siemens & Enlighted - and the best possible experience in the application areas of retail, industry, chemical, food processing, education and offices. Our Product Managers manage actively the product lifecycle – from the idea generation to phase out in the respective applications.

As Teamlead you globally define, lead, manage and coordinate all SBS
activities within this portfolio inclusive all our SBS related marketing activities. You are responsible for identifying opportunities, supporting change and therefore lead to customer satisfaction and loyalty, which ultimately results in significant growth, while still maintaining the fundamental business goals and priorities. All this you will accomplish through a committed, enthusiastic collaboration with your team of 5+ Product Managers. Your team is mainly located at our headquarter in Dornbirn (Austria). You are free to select where you work, provided that you are able to spend 2-3 days twice a month at our headquarter.
Your Job
1. Setting a global SBS-Strategy & a compelling SBS Product Portfolio Roadmap: In this new strategic foundation, this newly merged product segment, you define the strategic Product Portfolio Roadmap SBS, force strategic Initiatives, perceive new fields of applications and new types of SBS Services in clear alignment with the company’s brands, applications and sustainability strategy to push SBS’s new positioning.
2. Managing & implementing the Product Portfolio: Together with your team you manage this SBS portfolio throughout its entire life cycle with full responsibility for the product line profitability. Through proactive cooperation with Sales, Application Management, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Education and Learning, Technical After Sales Services you ensure the successful implementation for the SBS portfolio.
3. Monitoring & evaluating the performance: You are bearing the full responsibility for the SBS Product Portfolio profitability in relation to the brands, as well as guiding choices about investments, pricing and developments.
4. Gathering trends & providing innovation : You collaborate with market intelligence, rebuild contact in our various sales countries in analysing and tracking globally market, technology, competitors and trends to identify competitive attributes and value proposition. By using advanced methodologies and tools you stay ahead by identifying customer needs, opportunities and risks for strategic positioning against competition.
5. Business development of SBS & building synergies: Given that this PM SBS has recently merged and was created with this objective in mind you develop and establish the SBS Business within the segment as well as throughout the company especially among all internal and external stakeholders. Therefore, you recognize the high potential among our company and with the individual experts and you are able to accumulate knowledge and experts to create synergies to successfully establish SBS PM.
6. Strong Team Leadership: Through the promotion of a collaborative, identifying, committed, and excellent team-building culture within SBS, you will cultivate, expand, and manage a high-performing team of PM SBS.
7. Inspiring collaboration & foster training : You and your team are the key representatives for “SBS PM” – you define, execute and moderate innovative workshops, product presentations and trainings, especially for sales teams, but also for customers and other stakeholders. You inspire interdisciplinary, collaboration with convenience and provide a level-one interfaces with all relevant stakeholders, especially with sales within the countries that they passionately get behind that vision to achieve the desired outcomes.
Your profile
8. Proven successful track & 10+ years comparable experience: You have a deep expertise positioning and developing “SBS-products” and you've shown achievements in the Service business, B2B and product management setting; ideally in a technology-, industrial-, B2B or lighting environment (electronic) and within an international team, therefore you understand how to shape, reposition, develop and rank a strategic product portfolio of leading industry brands.
9. Completed bachelor’s degree: You have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree or anything comparable in engineering OR business administration with either a profound technical understanding or very strong interest in technology.
10. Ability to perform both strategically & operationally: Due to your analytical, strategic, innovative, entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset it is easy for you to create product-roadmaps and -portfolios and implement them with your professional project-management skills – that is your success factor. You care about “Sustainability” topics, and this influences your decisions. Because your team is not that huge, you have a “hands-on” personality, a “we can do” attitude and a “walk the talk” mentality combined with an authentic, close bond, consistent, trustful, self-confident and resilient appearance.
11. Charismatic Leader: You take on the role of a powerful leader by forging bonds within your team, emphasizing dedication, identifying the strengths of the individuals and orchestrating them into an outstanding success of your team. You lead with empathy and support, and you have a unifying enthusiasm for Services/SBS.
12. Empowering communication & fluent English: You have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to inform, influence and challenge confidently across all levels, bringing together interdisciplinary, decentralized and remote team into an outstanding success. You are fluent in English; any other languages are a bonus and greatly appreciated.
13. Business trip welcome: You are excited to visit customers and global sales interfaces in order to be close to our customers and sales representatives, moreover, to support the brand's and its SBS offerings' external market presence.

Legally binding notice: Based on the minimum salary stipulated in the collective agreement of € 82.373,- p.a. (for a 38,50-hour working week), the actual salary for this position is based on professional qualifications and experience.
