Job Type: Full-time, temporary (Immediate start until 15th September)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our new Mediterranean Tapas Bar & Restaurant. The restaurant will be located within a 4* Hotel next to the Lake, offering breathtaking lake views. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, presentation, and service.
Responsibilities
* Develop and create a menu for the Mediterranean Tapas Bar & Restaurant.
* Train, supervise, and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality service and consistent food quality.
* Maintain proper inventory levels, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are in stock and fresh.
* Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to the highest standards and that they are presented in an attractive manner.
* Manage food and labor costs, ensuring that the restaurant operates within budgetary constraints.
* Ensure that the kitchen is always clean, safe, and sanitary, adhering to all food safety regulations.
* Continuously develop and innovate menu offerings to keep up with current culinary trends and guest preferences.
* Participate in the opening and closing of the restaurant, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned, stored, and maintained.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of experience in Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on tapas bar & restaurant business.
* Proven experience managing a busy kitchen operation.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
* Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to success.
* Demonstrated creativity in menu development and presentation.
* Experience in restaurant opening, managing a team through the opening process, and ensuring a successful launch.
