Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAbout the role:Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting as part of the ELT, this is a newly created role overseeing total B2B Ingredient Sales.You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive volume and margin growth, manage key customer relationships, and oversee the performance and development of the Key Account Management and Customer Service teams.This role will be instrumental to ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, achieving sales targets, and further developing robust relationships across clients within the B2B food manufacturing sector. With a deep seeded mantra of ‘here to help you grow’ this is a truly unique opportunity to step into a market leading business, with a great culture, excellent customer relationships and continue to help them lift the bar.Role responsibilities:Team Leadership & Development:Lead, mentor, and develop the Customer Service and Account Management teams to ensure high performance.Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members.Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to drive team success.Customer Relationship Management:Foster and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.Act as a senior point of contact for high-value customers and resolve escalated issues promptly.Strategic Sales Manager:Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business objectives.Identify and prioritize market opportunities to drive growth and expand the customer base.Forecast sales performance, set goals, and monitor progress.Sales Operations:Oversee the development and execution of sales plans for the Account Management team.Review and analyse sales reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.Optimize processes for customer onboarding, order management, and service delivery in collaboration with the Customer Service team.Reporting and Analytics:Prepare regular sales reports, including performance metrics and market insights, for senior leadership.Skills & Experience:Minimum of 10 years in sales management into a B2B food manufacturing.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-performing teams.Experience in managing both Key Account Management and Customer Service functions.Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Results driven, with strong personal drive and integrity.Proven capacity to exercise initiative, judgement and discretion.Demonstrated experience in coaching people to improve performance, innovation, and efficiency.Benefits:Collaborative, progressive and high performing company culture.Genuine workplace flexibility.Attractive salary package.Sitting as part of a super collaborative ELT.Excellent customer relationships.About the Company:Progressive leading multinational with strong domestic manufacturing and R&D capability.
