The Director, Content Strategy leads a team responsible for developing and implementing strategic content approaches to guide ICT and digital investment across government. They champion user-focused content development, design and strategy to support the agency's role as the government's trusted advisor on digital and the transformation agenda. As a key member of the DTA's leadership team, the Director provides advice and strategy to optimize the communication of strategic policy advice and digital insights. The role requires transforming complex policy insights into compelling, accessible communication strategies that drive digital innovation and effective government communication.

The key duties
* Drive the vision for the Australian Government Architecture (AGA) by developing and implementing comprehensive content strategies that significantly enhance user experience and align with the investment process.
* Shape and lead the strategic direction of the AGA, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering innovation.
* Collaborate with senior agency stakeholders to deeply understand their needs, identify existing business processes, and optimise the use of architectural materials.
* Lead and oversee business analysis activities to support the development and maturation of the AGA, applying advanced methods, techniques, research, and engagement approaches.
* Develop and implement frameworks to collect, measure, and monitor user sentiment, strategic impact, and project benefits, ensuring continuous improvement.
* Develop organisational practices and provide targeted advice to ensure content clarity and structure, guiding content contributions to meet user needs and organisational standards.
* Enhance and govern stakeholder usage of AGA taxonomies, templates, content rules, and authoring guidance, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Oversee and streamline coordination and administration activities, including handling correspondence, web publishing, and content management, to ensure operational efficiency.
* Provide strategic advice and insights to the executive team and external partners to influence whole-of-government digital transformation approaches and communications.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaborative practice in strategic content management across the branch and wider DTA.
* Support and contribute to the management of the AGA product and its integration into other DTA domains, ensuring user needs and content considerations are prioritized, including supporting user research and design.
* Maintain an awareness of policy work being undertaken in other relevant work streams and across the APS to identify interrelationships and impacts.
