What You Will Do
1. Conduct process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of Lam’s cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
2. Review and enhance processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture and fabrication of products.
3. Develop and sustain new processes and process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
4. Compile and analyze test data to establish next steps in process development and determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications.
5. Collaborate internally to plan, collect data, analyze results, and report on customer demos for existing process applications.
Who We Are Looking For - Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master's degree or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.
2. This is a graduate eligible role.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Familiarity with working in a laboratory and on semiconductor equipment with experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
2. In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
3. Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing language.
4. Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
5. Experience with statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, etc.)
6. Background in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD), or Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD).
7. Background in Plasma Physics, Reactive Ion Etching (RIE), Atomic Layer Etching (ALE), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), Capacitively Coupled Plasma (CCP).
8. Knowledge of Material synthesis and material characterization.
What We Are Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills.
Working Hours
Flexitime model 38.5 hours/week, Core hours (Mo-Th 9-15, Fr 9-11:30)
Employment in Austria
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
