Your job
1. Together with your team you shape our hardware development and procurement processes by taking over the technical lead in electronic control units procuring projects with international partners and providers.
2. You are responsible for the technical evaluation and selection of suppliers, ensuring they meet the Zumtobel Group’s quality and compliance standards as well as system requirements.
3. You clarify and define the technical requirements for the products and create specifications and concepts for implementation.
4. You oversee the planning and support of internal and external approval tests (EMC, safety, etc.), guiding products through series production, and ensuring robust test environments and tooling.
5. In the event of production quality issues or field quality claims, you will carry out and coordinate fault analysis in collaboration with the quality and R&D teams.
6. By engaging in a culture of continuous improvement you constantly assess the technical capabilities of new and existing suppliers, identify underperforming suppliers and implement improvement plans.
Your profile
7. You bring a wealth of industry experience, ideally within the B2B electronics sector, combined with a proven track record in leading teams, whether in a disciplinary, technical, or project-based capacity.
8. You have completed a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field, and possess strong technical interest and knowledge in connectivity and IoT (both wired and wireless).
9. Throughout your career, you managed to develop expertise in supplier handling and navigating diplomatic negotiations.
10. You possess a strong understanding of the product certification process and standards to oversee the conformity assessment for our portfolio, ensuring market access and consumer acceptance of products at national, regional, and international levels.
11. Your strong communication skills, along with your fluency in English, both written and spoken, allows you to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams across global locations. Proficiency in German is a valuable bonus.
12. With a solution-focused and collaborative mindset, you excel at independently leading and developing a team, taking full responsibility for your tasks and driving progress.
