Commissioning Manager for Steelmaking Solutions (f/m/*)
What are my responsibilities?
Our department Iron & Steelmaking (I&S CS TI) is responsible for the technological execution in the business field of Converter Steelmaking.
The Converter Steelmaking portfolio includes Hot Metal Treatment plants, LD (BOF) and special converter (e.g. KOBM) equipment and plants, AOD based stainless converter equipment and plants as well as Smelter solution for DRI melting and By Product recycling.
For the commissioning of large and complex projects, we are strengthening our team with a Commissioning Manager with the following tasks:
1. Full responsibility for the successful commissioning from start of single function tests till hot commissioning and acceptance of the plant
2. Management and coordination of commissioning work (i.e. sequence of tests, single and integrated function test) according to time schedule
3. Preparation of commissioning schedule and update with all parties involved
4. Employment of technical troubleshooting personnel from the site manager
5. Organization and carry out personnel training
6. Management and recording of daily commissioning meetings
7. safeguarding the rights granted and the discharging of the obligations imposed under the project-related contracts in respect of commissioning and performance proof.
8. Coordination and preparation of all commissioning checklists & protocols, performance and acceptance reports.
9. Prepare as-built documentation and ensure the collection of operating data for know-how feedback and providing commissioning report.
10. Equipment and process optimization after commissioning

What do I need to qualify for this job?
11. 5+ professional work experience in a steel plant ideally as a Maintenance (Commissioning) Manger or alternatively as a Maintenance (Commissioning) Engineer
12. Expert knowledge of engineering and steelmaking related technology to understand technical implications
13. Advance knowledge in automation and software engineering
14. Basic knowledge in project management methods and tools, know-how of contract law and regulations for project business
15. Work experience in international teams
16. Willingness for international travels and site delegations
17. Advanced knowledge in English and German

What else do I need to know?
The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 58.788,80 (G/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience.
