McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust) Pty Ltd and Diona Pty Ltd in a joint venture partnership are the MFP for the Water North program. The Water North program typically consists of North of Metropolitan Adelaide, Central Northern, Northern region and Eyre region.
From its partners, SA Water is seeking a high-performing collaborative cultural mindset, willingness to learn and grow together in the effective planning, management, and delivery of major projects and capital investment decisions across South Australia. This means that together with the MFPs it will jointly develop greater alignment and integration in decision making, information, and performance management.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role of the Senior Engineering Coordinator is to ensure conformity of all Engineering activities with the Framework standards, procedures, and policies and with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
About the role:
* Day-to-day management of the design.
* Lead, chair, and minute design meetings with Consultants to ensure the programme is achieved.
* Identify, as soon as possible, any issues that will impede the delivery of design and make recommendations to resolve so that the programme is achieved.
* Identify, as soon as possible, design growth and manage appropriately.
* Act as the technical interface between SA Water, MDJV, and Sub-contractors.
* Manage the RFI process, including filtering and approving RFIs.
* Coordinate the Safety in Design (SiD) process including the SiD Register, SiD auditing, SiD reviews, and SiD report finalization.
* Lead and manage review of design packages. This will include the coordination of comment register and securing signoff.
* Provide feedback to Framework personnel on design documentation.
* Coordinate and manage the delivery of drawings and technical documentation.
* Liaise with and support Document Controller as required.
* Mentoring and management of Engineering Coordinators.
About you:
* Relevant tertiary Engineering qualification.
* Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the construction and/or consulting industry with exposure to design, costing, estimating, and planning.
* Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines.
* Understanding of Consultancy Agreements, Contracts, and Specifications and the ability to write specific performance documentation.
* Sound working knowledge of HSEQ requirements as it relates to design and temporary works.
* Competent in use of MS Office, SharePoint, and document management systems.
* Working knowledge of relevant engineering software.
