Along with assisting the Production Manager with the execution of daily production in the Fish Processing area, the Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in developing, leading and effectively utilising resources to achieve performance targets. You will be responsible for providing strong and reliable support to the business by executing strategic goals and values in relation to people and leading an empowered, informed and motivated team. This offers potential for further progression within our organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute the daily plan for the production of Sea Food in retail ready and MAP format.
2. Maintain ongoing training of staff using GMPs and keeping Food Safety a core requirement.
3. Maintain a competent and motivated workforce.
4. Encourage and build a strong safety culture.
5. Monitor equipment and workforce efficiency, taking action to improve where necessary.
6. Supervise daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
7. Participate in and lead regular communication to ensure effective resource planning in line with volume expectations, leave requirements and planned and unplanned absenteeism.
8. Collaborate and maintain a high level of cooperation with other supervisory staff on all matters related to service, cost and productivity.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in food processing.
2. Experience leading a large, multicultural workforce.
3. Experience with GMP, HACCP, WHS protocols and standards.
4. Managing a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
5. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
