Account Manager (M/F/D) - Fixed-term contract
The Account Manager is a professional account manager in the water treatment industry, who is responsible for retaining recurring business at top accounts and creating opportunities at existing accounts and prospects for long-term profitable growth.
She or he develops strong relationships at our major accounts in the assigned geographic area.
Overview of duties:
* The ultimate goal is to achieve business targets and objectives by obtaining customer retention, managing price and driving new sales by delivering value to our high-valued customers. This requires a strong technical expertise combined with a good commercial strategy and tactics.
* Comply with integrity and safety policies.
* Own and drive the development of strategic relationships in top accounts at all levels in the market.
* Using strong and proven relationship skills, the account manager will take ownership of the efforts through services, customer care, technology, commercial operations, supply chain and other support teams to fulfill customer needs.
* Carry out the technical services and provide the necessary verbal and written documentation.
* Carry out basic maintenance on chemical dosing equipment.
* Recommendations to trouble-free plant operations for the defined customers.
* Success will be measured by the delivery of customer retention, the closing of new sales and the development of a target pipeline by bringing highly valued solutions and using the entire Water & Technologies Solutions product portfolio in the chemical and monitoring solutions department.
* Actively participate in sales team meetings and training sessions.
* Drive initiatives from the business.
* Report all work-related accidents (including vehicle), diseases, dangerous occurrences, near misses, incidents and damage to property to Line Manager and EHS Manager, preferably through Gensuite.
* Participate in required EHS Training.
* Achieve annual EHS Goals assigned to the function.
Qualifications:
* A proven track record in commercial or key account management.
* A B.Sc. or higher degree in Engineering or Applied Science. Chemical background is required.
* Proven ability to identify and articulate customer CTQ’s and translate them into a Veolia solution with VGP offering.
* Strong EHS mindset.
* Strong commitment to sustainability.
* Experience in Primary Metals and Food & Beverage is a strong plus.
* Excellent presentation and accurate reporting skills.
* Executive presence and the capacity to deal with senior contacts.
* Strong flexibility and problem-solving skills.
* Breadth and depth of industry knowledge would be a plus.
* Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written.
* Competence with Windows Office and Google software and Veolia IT tools is a must.
* Driving license valid in Austria (company car also for private use).
