As a Systems Engineer at EVG you will analyze, develop, design, and validate high-end equipment for the microsystems and semiconductor industry. Your profound theoretical and practical cross-disciplinary experience is key to meet challenging industrial expectations in cooperation with a diverse range of experts.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Perform in-depth analysis and develop a model-based theoretical understanding of complex systems to guide development decisions and implementation.
* Apply systematic test procedures and effective data analysis methods with physical simulations to identify and solve root-cause problems and challenges.
* Derive, monitor and maintain technical performance budgets.
* Collaborate with and coordinate internal and external experts in mechanical, electronic, photonics and software design to improve existing systems and implement innovative technologies.
* Provide expertise and third level support inside the matrix-organization within a strong R&D team.
* Typical applications include precision motion devices, calibration procedures, alignment systems, and metrology routines.
Requirements:
* A master’s or Ph.D. degree in physics or engineering.
* Several years of working experience in the field of precision engineering and development of complex systems.
* Strong analytical skills combined with a practical and self-motivated approach to solve technical challenges.
* Skills in efficiently utilizing data analysis software such as Matlab, Python and/or multi-physics environments for modeling, and simulation.
* Team orientation with interdepartmental openness as well as taking pleasure in working in an international environment.
* Excellence in communication and presentation in English and German.
* Occasional international travel to customers, suppliers, trade shows and conferences is expected.
