Position Summary
CREST Education is seeking an inspiring, experienced and dedicated People & Culture Lead to drive strategic initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with the mission and values of CREST Education. This role oversees key areas such as talent acquisition, employee engagement and workforce planning initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the People & Culture Lead ensures compliance with employment laws, provides guidance on complex employee relations matters, and develops programs that enhance organisational effectiveness. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this role is instrumental in creating a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. This role is a highly operational role and is visible across all areas of our very large precinct.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Leadership and Strategic Thinking:
o Proven ability to develop and execute people initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
o Strong leadership skills to influence and inspire others across all levels of the organisation.
2. People & Culture Expertise:
o Extensive knowledge of P&C best practices, policies, and procedures, including talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
o Deep understanding of employment legislation, compliance, and industrial relations.
3. Change Management:
o Experience leading organisational change and fostering adaptability in dynamic environments.
o Skilled in developing and implementing strategies that support cultural transformation.
4. Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:
o Strong ability to handle complex employee relations issues with confidentiality, empathy, and fairness.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas and influence stakeholders.
o Strong relationship-building skills with employees, leaders, and external partners.
6. Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
o Proficiency in analysing P&C metrics and data to inform decision-making and measure program success.
o Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively and effectively.
7. Professional Experience:
o A minimum of 5–7 years in HR leadership or related roles, with a strong record of delivering impactful outcomes.
o Experience working in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments (e.g., education, non-profit, corporate).
8. Technology Proficiency:
o Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
o A bachelor’s degree in human resources, organisational development, business administration, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications preferred).
o WWCC.

o Superior written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
