Parity Quantum Computing GmbH
What we do
At ParityQC, we are shaping the future of quantum computing as the world’s leading Quantum Architecture Company. We have pioneered a fundamentally new approach to solving complex industry challenges and are developing blueprints for quantum computers alongside the operating system ParityOS.
About the job
We are looking for an experienced Quantum Error Correction Engineer who will join our team of Quantum Physicists creating blueprints and strategies for next generation quantum computers with a specific focus on fully fault-tolerant implementations using the ParityQC Architecture and other quantum error correction codes.
As a Senior Quantum Error Correction Engineer, you will contribute to the development of pioneering algorithms that are at the core of ParityQC's groundbreaking quantum computing platform. In this role, you will design and implement strategies for fault-tolerant quantum computing that leverage state-of-the-art error correction codes and noise-biased hardware platforms, directly shaping the evolution of the ParityQC Architecture.
You will help with noise simulations to analyze and optimize resources, identifying and implementing applications with tangible industry impact. Collaborating closely with our team of quantum computing experts, you will play a key role in defining ParityQC's technological direction while contributing to the research through publications and presentations.
Your Profile
1. Education: PhD in (theoretical) physics, mathematics, or a related field with a strong focus on quantum computation.
2. Expertise: Experience with quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant quantum computing.
3. Programming: Basic programming skills are essential, while experience with object-oriented programming and Python is a strong plus.
4. Innovation & Independence: A high degree of creativity, proactiveness, and the ability to work independently in a research-focused environment.
5. Preferred Qualifications: A track record in implementing fault-tolerant quantum algorithms and performing resource estimations (e.g., in the surface code), knowledge of noise-biased hardware platforms (e.g., bosonic codes). 3+ years working experience (after PhD) in the field desirable.
6. Language: Fluency in English is required.
What we offer
We are a spin-off working in one of the most exciting emerging technology fields. There are no long-time proven concepts on what we are doing – we need to invent everything from scratch, and we are therefore able to shape a whole new generation of computing. ParityOS is the first fully cloud-based operating system for quantum computers. We are pioneers in this field and develop the blueprints for the upcoming generations. Thus, the position also offers the possibility to conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, we offer an appealing work environment with an international, motivated team and the flexibility to partially work from home.
Please submit a copy of your CV and a cover letter stating why you would be interested in working at ParityQC and why your experience is relevant.
