About the role - Strategic Partnership Manager
About the role:
The Strategic Partnerships Manager is part of the Sponsorships & Partnerships Chapter team within the Brand & Marketing business unit in Customer Markets. This role involves identifying, qualifying, executing, and optimizing relationships with external partners to drive commercial and brand-building partnerships and sponsorships. The manager will work in cross-functional teams to leverage external relationships and ensure all opportunities meet commercial objectives while amplifying AGL's brand. The role also involves aligning activities with other external relationships across Customer Markets.
What You'll be doing:
* Strategic Delivery and Commercial Value: Align partnership activities with strategic objectives and lead agreement negotiations to maximize commercial value for AGL.
* Planning, Budget, and Portfolio Management: Manage business partnership plans, budgets, and a diverse portfolio of partnerships, including contracts, performance metrics, and relationship optimization.
* Opportunity Identification and Business Casing: Scope and propose partnership opportunities, prepare business case materials, and lead business casing for new opportunities to secure CAPEX funding.
* Contract Negotiation and Initiative Development: Negotiate partnership contract terms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define go-to-market strategy for partnerships.
* Performance Measurement and Brand Alignment: Set performance metrics, provide regular reporting, optimize activities based on performance, and ensure partnership initiatives align with AGL's brand identity, values, and messaging.
About you:
* Relevant qualifications in marketing, business, communications, or a related field with demonstrated experience working and managing partnerships within a national organisation.
* Proven experience managing successful partnership programs within the energy industry, or other relevant sector, demonstrating a track record of enhancing brand visibility and driving business objectives.
* Strong understanding of the energy industry, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape to identify and capitalise on strategic partnership opportunities.
* Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster and maintain effective partnerships with external organisations, industry stakeholders, and community groups.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling proposals to articulate the value of partnerships to others.
