In the Department of Media and Digital Technologies, we are currently looking for anAcademic Director Audio and Visual Media (f/m/d) (40h)What you will be working onUpon its accreditation, you develop and manage a new international, English-taught bachelor degree programme (BSc) in the topic area of audio/video that takes into account the technical, informatic, and design aspects of both areas at the same time and with a strong practical focus.You are responsible for the establishment and further development of the international study programme in terms of strategy, content, and didactics including personnel management and budget, and you ensure the programme's high quality.You represent and advertise the programme externally and cultivate international contacts to businesses, other higher education institutions, and the scientific community.You promote research and internationalisation and integrate research into teaching.You teach students, supervise final theses, and participate in the activities of the St. Pölten UAS' bodies.You develop the degree programme in consideration of the framework conditions of a European University.What we expect from youCompleted master degree or diploma studies, preferably PhD/doctorateExperience in the development of international study programmes and application-oriented researchAt least 5 years of relevant professional experience (in audio and/or visual media) and a strong network of international media companiesExperience in the use of GenAI for the creation of audio and visual media content is an advantageExpertise in the environment of internationalisation in a higher education settingVery good oral and written English language skillsStrong social competence, team spirit, strategic thinking, leadership competence, negotiation skills, and high willingness to travelWhat we offerLong-term employment with many benefits, flexible working hours (remote work), free parking, etc.More free time for our staff: additional special leave days from 24/12 to 31/12 as well as on Good FridayOpportunity to actively contribute and implement own ideas in an innovative teamA gross annual salary that takes your qualifications into account: € 81,200 (basis: full-time; all-in)For the St. Pölten UAS, the variety and diversity of its staff members is the key to innovation, success, and further development.
