Your future responsibilities
* R&D and optimizing electroplating processes for FOWLP, TSVs, Cu pillars, solder bumps, RDLs, etc.
* R&D silicon interposers, TSV technologies and 3D stacking
* Material characterization & failure analysis
* Concept development, DOE planning, and characterization
* Microfabrication and back-end processing in cleanroom environment
* Contribution of back-end solutions to various industrial projects
* Data analysis
* Technical reporting and scientific dissemination
* Project management
Your profile
* M.Sc. (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Over 3 years of working experience in cleanroom environment in industry or R&D institutes including hands-on experience with Electroplating and/or CMP equipment & process developments
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with electrochemistry, particularly as applied to metal deposition processes.
* Knowledge of advanced packaging processes such as FOWLP, hybrid bonding and interposers.
* Familiarity with thin-film deposition techniques (e.g., PVD, CVD).
* Knowledge of CMP processes and mechanisms.
* Experience in project management and research funding proposals.
* Fluent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of German is an advantage.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group F (F1 salary = EUR 4.594,- paid 14 times a year) based on 38.5 hours per week). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 70.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
