The Opportunity
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you'll have exposure to over 40 network locations, and multiple data centers distributed across Regional Western Australia and have the privilege of working with a highly motivated and high-performance team.
You will have the ability to lead and mentor a team of IT Infrastructure Engineers focused on a work stream, contribute to technical enhancements and modifications to our network and server environment.
For this position you will report directly to Manager IT Infrastructure, and you will be based at our HQ office on Osborne Park, and on occasions oversee projects onsite as the business requires.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, mentor and allocate workload to direct reports
2. Planning, design, installation and integration of new systems and upgrades.
3. Attend and provide support to remote sites and participate in an On Call Roster.
4. Manage day to day management and maintenance of company backup systems and testing
5. Maintain physical and virtual servers through software patching
6. Assisting other IT Infrastructure Engineers in providing first-line support when workloads are high, or where additional experience is required.
7. Monitor and optimise systems for performance gains
8. Design and implement systems inline with good security practice
9. Evaluate new hardware and software and make recommendations.
10. Recommend software and / or software changes
11. Ensure all Infrastructure documentation is relevant and up to date.
12. Adhere to production change control policy
What is Required
1. Relevant Tertiary Technology Qualification or Industry Certification.
2. Extensive experience working in server and/or network engineering role
3. Excellent Infrastructure knowledge
4. Demonstrated analytical and problem management skills.
5. Expert knowledge in current technologies applicable to the company
6. Advanced technical understanding of hardware, software, applications, networks, communications technologies
