We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Store Manager to lead our team, maintain operational excellence, and help us achieve our mission.
Job Summary:
The Store Manager at The Oxley Village Grocer is a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations. From managing the team and driving sales to ensuring inventory efficiency and customer satisfaction, the Store Manager is instrumental in creating a positive shopping experience and fostering a strong sense of community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team committed to providing exceptional service. Conduct regular team meetings, set performance goals, and provide ongoing coaching and support. Foster a collaborative and positive work culture that values teamwork and individual contributions. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and care.
2. Operational Management:
Oversee all store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure proper product rotation and presentation. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and store appearance.
3. Sales and Financial Oversight:
Set and achieve sales targets in collaboration with senior management. Develop and implement strategies to optimize sales and profitability. Manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and provide insights to improve store performance.
4. Community Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and community members. Promote The Oxley Village Grocer’s commitment to sustainability, local sourcing, and community involvement.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in the grocery or food retail industry.
2. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
3. A passion for fresh food, local produce, and customer service.
4. Proficiency in inventory management, financial oversight, and operational procedures.
5. Experience with Futurenet or equivalent POS/stock systems would be highly advantageous.
6. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
7. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
