We are excited to announce a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the group of Prof. Gunda Köllensperger.
The major objective is to downscale metabolomic techniques to the level of organelles, small cellular communities ultimately aiming at the ambitious goal of single cell analysis.
The position is limited until 14.03.2028, with the possibility of extension for a further two years.
Your responsibilities:
* Develop mass spectrometry based metabolomics/lipidomics
* Develop single cell lipidomics
* Teach and support educational activities, independently and in collaboration, as outlined by the collective bargaining agreement
* Organize and contribute to scientific events, including meetings, conferences, and symposiums
* Assist with administrative duties related to research, teaching, and departmental operations
Requirements:
• A completed doctoral degree in chemistry, bio technology or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• A track record of research competence and initiative, evidenced by international publications.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with effective teamwork capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and precision.
• Experience securing competitive research grants (desirable).
