About the Strategy and Sustainability Office
The Strategy and Sustainability Office plays a vital role in steering Austin Health's long-range service and system planning, shaping integrated models of care, and fostering partnerships across the North Metro and Mitchell Local Health Service Network.
From leading strategic planning and business improvement initiatives, to embedding sustainability and advancing care in community and home-based settings, this team is central to delivering on our promise of exceptional care, discovery, and learning.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and operating in a complex and dynamic environment, you will provide strategic leadership to:
* Shape and lead strategic thinking and strategy development at the executive level.
* Develop organisation wide business plans designed to deliver research-based patient care at the highest level, enhance patient experience and consumer engagement.
* Drive the implementation of the Austin Health Strategic and Business Plans and annual Statement of Priorities, including setting appropriate monitoring, reporting requirements and governance.
* Lead the Service Improvement team to deliver improvements in care and complex business redesign.
* Steer Austin Health's strategic focus on developing new models of care.
* Lead and coordinate Austin Health's programs of work that contribute to the partnership that is the North Metro and Mitchell Local Health Service Network.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence others in navigating and resolving complex and sensitive matters.
* Demonstrated capacity as an effective leader at Executive level, stimulating strategic discussions and supporting colleagues in achieving organisational goals.
* Ability to motivate, inspire and develop team members to achieve strategic objectives.
