As Ouwens Casserly continues to grow and expand its presence, the newly created Finance Manager – Reporting & Analysis role offers an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute and strategically minded finance professional to step into a role that combines operational leadership with high-level strategic influence.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO and working in close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and Founders, the Finance Manager – Reporting & Analysis will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the business. It offers the chance to be part of a business with ambitious plans, including active involvement in acquisitions and new ventures. The Finance Manager – Reporting & Analysis will oversee the end-to-end finance function at OC, including financial operations, month-end reporting, compliance, and budgeting. The role demands both a hands-on approach to day-to-day finance as well as the capability to deliver strategic financial insights that support decision-making at the highest level. Working closely with the CEO and the senior management team, you will ensure that financial data is accurate, reporting is timely, and compliance with statutory and tax requirements is maintained.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions and managing the bookkeeping process
* Leading month-end close and preparation of financial statements
* Performing variance analysis and presenting insights into financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making.
* Monitor cash flow and liquidity, produce detailed forecasts, advise on funding strategies, and manage working capital.
* Collaborate on budgeting and rolling forecast processes with the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Liaise with external accountants to ensure compliance with tax and corporate regulatory requirements.
* Enhancing financial systems (Xero, Airtable, Fathom) and internal controls, while implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
* Providing financial analysis for acquisitions, investments, and new initiatives, delivering strategic recommendations to the CEO and the broader senior leadership team.
* Lead and develop the finance team to maintain a high standard of financial accuracy and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
* CPA or CA qualification (essential)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role
* Strong technical skills in reporting, forecasting, financial modelling, and analysis
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and improve finance operations
* Commercially minded with strong communication and leadership skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels
