We are looking for a results-driven Commercial Construction Manager to expand our presence in the Adelaide/SA market. Your primary focus will be on growing share of wallet with our existing construction client base by securing new opportunities from within these accounts and to have a hunter’s mindset with a strong appetite to win new customers, building and strengthening client relationships, and maximizing all opportunities in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, market share, and customer base growth
* Identify and secure new business opportunities in the construction and industrial sectors
* Manage direct sales engagement, employing effective sales, territory management techniques and the rigorous application of end-user trade segmenting
* Align sales efforts with United Fasteners’ End-User Engagement Strategy, focusing on Trade, Application, and Product (TAP) specialization respective of construction cycle - end-user trade segment
* Provide expert technical advice, product demonstrations, and training to customers and internal teams
* Conduct face-to-face customer visits, tailoring value propositions to meet trade segment needs
* Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, logistics, and engineering
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and product performance
Who we’re seeking:
* A self-starter with a proactive approach to business development
* Demonstrated experience and a sound understanding of the construction cycle, end-user trade segmentation, TAP with knowledge and experience in selling structural fasteners and anchoring systems as part of our one-stop-shop total solution across a wide product range of Fasteners & Fixings, Construction & Anchoring and Industrial Supplies providing our customers with an optimized outcome and an exceptional customer experience
* Strong sales and negotiation skills (including strategic system selling technique, open the hole, close the hole), with a track record of achieving growth targets
* Experience in engaging and selling at office level to builders, sub-contractor companies’ (trade segmented) key decision makers for building - construction projects and on site for civil - infrastructure projects
* Project tracking experience and familiarity using project activity - information tools
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
* High level of technical competency with construction-related products
* Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a team environment
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a results-driven mindset
* Willingness to travel domestically as required
Qualifications & experience:
* Minimum Year 12 education (Tertiary or Trade qualification in business, construction, or engineering preferred)
* Professional training in Sales, Negotiation, and Territory Management (including Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) reporting tools)
* Motor Vehicle (Car) Licence is essential
* 5+ years’ experience in construction sales, wholesale, or direct end-user engagement
* Experience with construction specification products, anchoring systems, and trade-segmented sales
