Position Summary
Joining Nestlé means you are joining the largest Food and Beverage Company in the world. We are looking for an experienced Day Shift Manager to join the Nestlé Distribution Centre in Altona, Victoria. This role will manage and supervise direct and indirect labour for the warehouse.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensure timely cost-effective deployment of people and equipment in accordance with agreed standard practices whilst ensuring people and asset safety.
* Manage ongoing development of warehouse standards and ensure communication and adherence to these standards.
* Adhere to 5S standards and improve those standards.
* Ensure Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) leadership for a zero accident/injury/incident mentality.
* Management of SH&E incidents and return to work plans for injured personnel.
* Ensure ongoing development of warehouse operators through coaching and continuous interaction.
* Champion a problem-solving culture through the adoption of Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE).
* Ensure high availability of assets and coordinate maintenance.
* Manage effective shift handover meetings and upward communication.
* Review individual performance of shift personnel and implement performance coaching discussions.
* Lead and develop a customer-focused culture, anticipating customer needs and ensuring actions are taken to eliminate customer dissatisfaction.
* Investigate causes of customer service failures and rectify root causes.

* Process-driven with adherence to compliance and quality standards.
* 3+ years’ experience in warehouse operations (Electronic WMS systems).
* Experience with racking inspections and understanding of supply chain end-to-end relationships.
* Knowledge of WHS standards and application.
* Experience in return to work management and injury management.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives.
