Our smart-charging algorithm leverages real-time data to align charging sessions with energy from renewable sources. The grid is under increasing strain from EV charging at peak times - we're already working with over 40 utilities across North America and Europe to help them reduce this demand.

The role
You'll lead our business development efforts across the EU and UK markets, focusing on generating new business opportunities and building strategic partnerships. You will be a player-coach to a small team in a fast-paced, start-up environment, fostering collaboration across diverse sectors to drive growth and expand our market presence.
What will you be doing?
1. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across utilities
2. Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals
3. Negotiating contracts and agreements aligning with our business objectives
4. Building relationships with key partners, stakeholders and industry SMEs to collaborate and drive success
5. Building a robust sales pipeline, prioritising for maximum impact
6. Coach team members to develop a high performance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation; setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback
7. Preparing and delivering high quality presentations, engaging pitches and scoping meetings with prospecting clients as you articulate the value of our SaaS solutions
8. Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team, providing insights into business development activities, market trends, and performance metrics.
9. There will be travel in this role - up to 50%
What are we looking for?
1. Proven experience in a senior sales position, preferably within a start-up environment
2. Strong knowledge within SaaS sales, and ideally experience selling to utilities
3. Ability to think strategically with a track record of successfully identifying and closing new business, ideally with enterprise clients
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
5. Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
6. Excellent written communication and presentation skills
7. Proactivity - you will continually push for more and suggest and implement processes and ways of working to be better
8. Alignment to the vision, mission, and values of ev.energy
