Master's Project: Trapped-Ion Quantum Processor Development (f/m/div)
At a glance
You love technology, a dynamic environment and want to be part of state-of-the-art developments? Infineon Power & Sensor Systems (PSS) delivers future-oriented solutions to provide cutting-edge data transport and to make tools and systems smarter, smaller, lighter and more energy-efficient. The world is full of mathematical problems that are too hard for today's or even future supercomputers. Quantum computing promises to efficiently find solutions to many of these problems, but in order to become useful, today's prototypes must be industrialized towards scalable and reliable systems. Trapped-ion quantum processors are the leading modality in terms of qubit fidelities and quantum volume, which places them in an ideal position to scale towards meaningful qubit numbers. Through the course of your master's project, you will develop scaling elements for trapped-ion quantum processors at the industrial fabrication facilities of Infineon Technologies. Do you have an affinity for quantum computing and are close to finishing your Master's degree in Physics, Quantum Engineering or a related field? This could be YOUR chance! Our team in Villach is looking forward to receiving your application!
