Hours: Full-TimeType of Contract: PermanentApplication Deadline: 22/11/2024Make Data as an Asset Real!As a passionate and experienced data scientist, you support the implementation of the Data & AI strategy, working with stakeholders across business domains.As a member of the Data & Analytics team in Digital Solutions, you create, implement and maintain AI solutions, working with state-of-the-art technology. You also support data & analytics knowledge building across Borealis and ensure compliance with the EU AI Act.You will:Work with business stakeholders in various domains to understand how process challenges can be tackled using AI, supporting safe and economical plant operations, efficient R&D, profitable sales, or a more productive workplace.Work with the data engineers in the D&A team to manage data ingestion and migration from various (internal and external) data sources to the Azure data lake and to transform, clean, and store data in the structures as agreed with the data architect.Build, test, and document prescriptive and predictive data models and solutions and use visualization tools to provide clear actionable insights, working alongside the Software Development team to create user-friendly GUIs.Deploy ML models in production taking into account performance and scalability, in collaboration with our cloud experts and manage their end-to-end life cycle, in collaboration with citizen developers from business.Support knowledge building and drive the citizen community across Borealis, helping them to also stay compliant with the EU AI Act.About youYou have a master's degree in AI, statistics, computer science, or engineering and a minimum of 5 years working experience with data science projects, developing statistical and machine learning solutions for business problems, including reinforcement learning.You have experience with manufacturing processes and process data, preferably in the chemical industry.You are familiar with relational databases and SQL-like query languages and have basic knowledge about non-relational database technology and distributed computing (Hadoop, Spark).You have a good understanding of cloud technologies such as MS Azure, its basic components, its capabilities and limitations, and how cloud infrastructure can be leveraged for AI solution delivery and deployment.You have good working experience with Databricks.
