Your new role
You will play a critical role in driving external stakeholder engagement and fostering trusted relationships that support the organisation's goals. The position involves designing and delivering high-impact engagement activities, maintaining clear and effective communication, and ensuring compliance with all relevant obligations. By understanding the priorities of key stakeholders, you will shape strategies that align with organisational objectives and deliver meaningful outcomes.
This role will see you lead strategic external engagement initiatives, including formal consultations, and build strong relationships that promote collaboration and mutual understanding. You will develop and deliver compelling communication materials, ensuring consistency and alignment with the organisation's messaging. Your ability to provide high-quality verbal and written briefings, manage stakeholder interactions, and coordinate responses to key external parties will be pivotal.
A proactive approach to stakeholder mapping, relationship-building, and identifying emerging opportunities will be required. You will help develop and implement engagement strategies that align with organisational priorities while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Working across the organisation, you will partner with senior leaders and internal teams to ensure engagement activities are cohesive, impactful, and informed by strategic insights.
You will contribute to the organisation's communications and engagement efforts by authoring well-researched and persuasive responses to enquiries, consultation requests, and regulatory submissions. Your work will play a vital role in shaping the organisation's public positioning and advancing its relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and accessible records of stakeholder correspondence and engagement activities.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and communications.
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated experience in preparing briefs, corporate reports, strategy documents, capacity statements and formal correspondence.
* Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing high-quality documents and correspondence.
* A strategic mindset, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
* Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations is beneficial.
* Immediately available to commence and commit to the duration of the contract.
* A valid DHS WWCC and NPC.
