About the Role:
We are seeking a Trade and Partnerships Manager – Education for a 12-month maternity leave period to oversee key initiatives that strengthen EGC’s education strategy. Reporting to the Executive Director, Education, you will be responsible for managing relationships with education institutions, government bodies, and other stakeholders to enhance the Gold Coast’s position as a premier study destination.
You will play a crucial role in designing and delivering the Education Trade Program, leading offshore and onshore initiatives that attract international students and build lasting partnerships. Your ability to develop strategic collaborations, influence policy, and drive impactful trade missions will be essential in ensuring the success of this role.
This role requires national and international travel and may involve occasional evening or weekend work.
What You’ll Do:
* Cultivate strong relationships with educational institutions, government bodies, and industry partners to drive engagement and advocacy initiatives.
* Lead international and domestic trade and membership events such as trade missions, activations, and familiarisation programs.
* Design and execute high-impact education trade programs, ensuring alignment with marketing efforts to attract international students.
* Conduct research and identify funding opportunities, and provide strategic insights to develop long-term strategies that contribute to industry growth and advancement.
* Lead and mentor the Education Trade and Partnerships team, fostering collaboration and strategic alignment across departments.
What You’ll Bring:
* A bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Education, or related field.
* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, international relations, or education trade programs.
* Exceptional project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
* Strong government relations expertise and an understanding of education policies and compliance frameworks.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a passion for fostering intercultural engagement.
* Experience coordinating offshore and international events is highly desirable.
