About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Company Manager to oversee the management and optimization of our fleet operations. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective utilization of company vehicles, compliance with regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel.
2. Liaising with clients to determine requirements and providing customers with advice and information regarding vehicle type, purchase or hire rates and obligations, and handling complaints.
3. Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules.
4. Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality.
5. Arranging collection and delivery of vehicles and goods.
6. Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports.
7. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
1. 1-2 years of relevant experience.
2. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, compliance, and logistics.
3. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
4. Proficiency in management software and tools.
5. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
