Responsibilities
1. Ensuring plant engineering/performance meets contractual requirements (e.g. schedule, technical completeness, technical standards, interfaces, operation, maintenance, safety requirements)
2. Coordinating technical interfaces among engineering disciplines, plant areas, and other involved parties (e.g. schedule, technical completeness, technical standards, safety planning)
3. Supporting technical clarifications with customers and other stakeholders (e.g. customer consultants, consortium partners, approval agencies, suppliers, and manufacturers)
4. Conducting regular engineering team meetings (in coordination with project management)
5. Supporting procurement, manufacturing, installation, cold and hot commissioning planning, and execution activities
6. Ensuring design requirement (R´1) review execution
7. Monitoring engineering compliance to safety requirements and contributing to risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP)
8. Managing structured engineering change processes (e.g. documentation, schedule and cost impact, lessons learned)
9. Coordinating the preparation of overall project engineering standard documents
10. Coordinating and supporting the technical sales department in finding solutions during the pre-project phase
Requirements
1. HTL, FH, or technical university degree
2. Experience in mechanical/plant engineering (mechanical equipment)
3. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD 2D, 3D design programs (e.g. Inventor)
4. Several years of professional experience in the steel mill or plant engineering sector
5. Willingness to work abroad and high team orientation with respect to cultural differences
6. Fluent in English, both verbal and written
7. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is €46,600. A significantly higher salary is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
