Ion Trap Development Engineer: Photonic Interfaces
Unlock the Future of Quantum Computing
The world's toughest mathematical problems remain unsolvable for even the most powerful supercomputers. Quantum computing holds the key to these challenges, but we need to transform today's prototypes into scalable, reliable systems. Leading the way are trapped-ion quantum processors, excelling in qubit fidelity and quantum volume, and poised for real-world impact.
Job Responsibilities:
* Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors, with focus on photonic interfaces.
* Co-develop the next generations of QPUs with commercial partners.
* Enable the research community through projects with academic partners.
* Supervise master and PhD students.
Requirements:
* PhD in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, computational physics or similar.
* 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing.
* Fluent in English, German skills or willingness to learn is a plus.
