About the Role:
As Digital Transformation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the organisation's technological landscape. This newly created position presents an opportunity to lead the business through its first enterprise-wide digital transformation, delivering scalable, future-ready technology solutions.
Reporting directly to the ELT, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the company’s IT strategy, with a strong focus on ERP implementation and technology change management in a 300-person construction environment. You will need to be both hands-on from an architectural perspective and a strategic leader, ensuring technology empowers operational efficiency, project execution, and future scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy, aligned with business growth objectives and industry advancements.
* Lead the selection, deployment, and integration of an ERP system tailored to a construction business, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
* Drive cultural and operational change within the business, ensuring technology adoption is smooth and embraced at all levels.
* Manage the design, security, and scalability of IT systems, ensuring a resilient architecture that meets both current and future business requirements.
* Introduce systems, tools, and automation that improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance workforce productivity.
* Ensure best-in-class cybersecurity, compliance, and data governance practices, aligning with both industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Build and manage a high-performing IT team, ensuring the right talent and resources are in place to execute technology initiatives effectively.
* Oversee and allocate a significant budget for technology investment, ensuring optimal return on investment while balancing business needs and cost-effectiveness.
About You:
The ideal candidate is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in ERP implementation, IT systems, and digital transformation within the construction or built environment industries. You thrive in environments where change is expected and have the ability to drive technology adoption across all levels of the organisation.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in leading ERP system selection, implementation, and adoption in a construction or related business.
* Strong enterprise architecture expertise, with the ability to be hands-on when needed.
* Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation projects.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to execute operationally.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with executives and operational teams.
* Strong change management capabilities, ensuring technology adoption is seamless and embraced.
* Background in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT governance in a corporate environment.
* Ability to build and lead a high-performing IT team while working within a budget to scale operations effectively.
