Our client is recognised as one of Australia's leading service providers delivering specialised insurance building repairs across Australia following an insurable event such as fire, flood, impact, storm and malicious damage.
They are currently looking for a State Manager to oversee the building division in the QLD region. The successful applicant will have the energy and drive to achieve business growth and enhance profitability. This is a "hands-on" role which requires the ability to rise to the challenge and operate in a demanding environment.
As part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, our client has an open door policy to Directors and Senior Management. Working closely with senior management, they want you to take ownership of delivering successful commercial outcomes on projects and meet industry KPIs.

The ideal candidate must have:
* Insurance / Commercial / residential construction experience.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and prioritise.
* QBCC license is essential.
* Trade qualifications or background preferred.
* Building knowledge within the large loss/ insurance sector will be highly regarded.
* Strong communicator and ability to motivate and engage teams.
* Dispute resolution and negotiation skills.
* The ability to develop relationships with insurance clients and loss adjusters.
* Leadership and proven performance in construction.
Role and responsibilities:
* Manage operations within the building division, including financial and reporting aspects.
* Provide outstanding customer service and utilise your communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
* Mentor and coach staff by sharing your knowledge in practical ways to improve business processes.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and estimators to achieve budgets.
